Get To Know Me!

So to get started, I am 25 and single, living in Shelby Township Michigan. I have been a professional photographer for five years. I started K. Danielle Photography two years ago and it has been an absolute blast! I LOVE what I do! During the week I spend my days nannying my two littles. I watch a two year old sweet and sassy little girl, and a sweet 7 month old boy. They are my favorite part of most days. So much fun to spend my week days with. I am a dog mama to my Roo girl. She is a two year old Australian Cattle Dog mix, also known as a Red Heeler. She is sweet, snuggly, and spunky. My favorite animal on this planet.

In my free time I will lose hours crocheting and making new things; check out my Etsy shop Native Yarn Goods! I have been crocheting for about five years as well. It's a great way for me to relax and unwind after a stressful week. While I crochet I typically have on a movie or one of my favorite TV shows. I am a HUGE Friends and Schitts Creek fan! Can't even count how many times I have watched both! If I'm not in the mood for a TV show, I will usually put on a good movie or crime doc. I'm a sucker for some good True Crime. I spend most of my days with a True Crime podcast on too! My favorite podcasts are Crime Junkie and True Crime Obsessed. A girl has to learn what to avoid the bad ones and how to protect herself right?

In the summer, on my weekends when I am not working, I try to be doing something outdoors. I am a big fan of camping, hiking, kayaking when I can. My friends and I try to get in a trip over to Silver Lake, to enjoy the dunes. Roo LOVES the dunes. Aside from Silver Lake, my favorite spot to go to in the summer is the UP. Pictured Rocks is absolutely incredible and the camping there is a blast! I will make a separate post about my favorite trips I have taken so keep an eye out for that!

I feel like in another life I was meant to be a decorator. I LOVE decorating my home and helping others to decorate theirs! I will spend hours on Pinterest getting inspiration and then drop way too much money on cute things to make my house feel homey. Give me a holiday to decorate for and I am ALL FOR IT. I go especially crazy for Halloween and Christmas. My house looks completely different during the months of October and December.

Much of my free time, if not crocheting, is spent baking. I have been known to make a mean cake or pie. I love experimenting and making new sweet creations. I think my favorite easy thing to make is banana bread, but when I want to go all out I will get out my piping bags and go to town on a cake! I love making cakes for my friends birthdays. I would not call my self a professional by any means, but they usually taste pretty darn good and look not too bad! lol
